AWANA is a vital part of our Children's Ministry at Emmanuel Baptist Church. It is an international program that exists
to help children become more devoted to God, His Word and the local church. The word Awana stands for
Approved

Not

and comes from 2 Timothy 2:15. The word of God is learned by understanding and memorizing scripture, activities, games, service, and missions. The evening includes Counsel Time, Handbook Time and Game Time. Clubbers earn awards as they memorize the word of God. We participate in many Awana regional activities, e.g., Sparks-A-Rama, Awana Games, Bible Quizzing.
AWANA meets every Wednesday:
6:45 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Family Life Center (FLC) - Emmanuel Christian School
Preschool - 6th grade
Did you know we have a Facebook page? Follow us there to keep up to date on what is happening.
For the upcoming Awana Games please note the practice and the event date in the calender. Also each child that is going need to have a signed Parent Consent and Release of Liability Form. This is required by Awana for any child to participate in the Awana Games, for more information please see the National Capital Region website.
Also If you plan on attending the event at Immanuel Bible Church, there is an admission fee of $2.00 per adult over 18 and $1.00 per child who is not in an Awana uniform. Children only (not leaders or LIT’s) in uniform are free.
The gym at Immanuel Bible Church is very small. It will be crowded and possibly uncomfortable for some. Our Awana Missionary has told us that they may not allow all spectators in, we apologize greatly for this situation.
